we're still very small because before we build capacity we want the REFUGEE WRITERS program to not only be turning out stories and essays of the highest quality but also providing a writing process that is positive and transformative for everyone involved.
by year's end we hope to have a official board in place, to have worked with three refugees, to be in the process of submitting and publishing their stories or essays, and to be formalizing our programs.
we currently have an informal partnership with at least one refugee services organization, and we hope in the coming months to formalize and expand our partnerships.
